Some become dishwashers in Shenzhen restaurants; some have no relatives or friends and can only return to their hometowns to wait for the next opportunity; some will soon have relatives and the chance to cross the border illegally. At the same time / no one thought that the Hong Kong government / in consultation with the mainland government / would decide to grant a one-day amnesty so that the villains who had been hiding in Hong Kong could be registered and become Hong Kong residents. The parents of these children are all in different situations. Some are on pins and needles / struggling but do not have enough money to send their children to Hong Kong illegally; some cannot contact their parents / so they have no choice but to use various methods to cross the Chinese border.
