Stranger by the Lake

On a hot summer day, in a lakeside resort famous for men's "fishing", undercurrents surge under the calm blue water of the lake. The handsome middle-aged man Frank (Pierre Deladonchamps) deals with two men: the fat and funny Henry (Patrick d'Assumçao) makes him feel very attracted to each other, and the two establish a friendship that talks about everything; the statuesque Michael (Christophe Paou) makes him fall in love at first sight, and the two have a physical passion. However, after a series of fierce battles, Frank gradually discovered Michael's mysterious and dangerous side, and a murder on the lakeside made everything even more confusing. Frank can't resist Michael's attraction, and Henry, who has actually been emotionally involved for a long time, is also involved. Should I just withdraw from it, or should I indulge my desires and take risks? The film won the Queer Palm Award at the 66th Cannes Film Festival and the Best Director Award in the Un Certain Regard section.
