In the ancient feudal era, the northern nomads were always the biggest threat to the Central Plains regime. Hua Mulan (played by Ling Bo), a woman with a military background, lives with her parents and family in an ordinary small town. Barbarian forces frequently move south, causing great disruption to people's lives. The imperial court is recruiting troops from all over to fight against foreign forces.
