The Birth of New China

This film was shot in 1949. In order to record the founding ceremony on film, the central government specially invited film crews from the former Soviet Union to shoot together with our own photographers. Unexpectedly, these films shot by the Soviets were accidentally destroyed in a fire. Therefore, this film preserved by the Central News Documentary Film Studio has become the only remaining image record of the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China. This film starts from the first National Political Consultative Conference in preparation for the founding of the People's Republic of China, and shows the historical scenes of the founding ceremony in an all-round and multi-perspective manner. It has extremely precious historical material value and collection value.
