During the Southern Song Dynasty, the monarchs and ministers were ignorant, the government was declining, and the Great Jin Kingdom was eyeing it. While the Mongolian eagle Genghis Khan superficially joined the Song Dynasty to attack the Jin Dynasty, secretly he harbored the ambition to unify the country. Guo Jing (played by Hu Ge), who grew up in the Mongolian grasslands and was taught martial arts by the Jiangnan Seven Monsters, followed his master's orders and went south at the age of 18 to fulfill his agreement to compete with Yang Kang (played by Yuan Hong) and to seek revenge on the person who killed his father. By chance, he was taught the Eighteen Palms of the Dragon by Hong Qigong (played by Liang Jiaren), the leader of the Beggar Gang.
