The Gallows in Spring

This drama tells the story of Du Kurong's life growth and redemption under the guidance of the Communists and under the influence of the truth, goodness and beauty in the world, and finally returned to the right path. Du Kurong is kind-hearted in nature, but he is a little willful under the pampering of his grandmother. He was wrongly imprisoned. In prison, he met Communist Mei Yongyong, and he gradually felt the kindness and righteousness in his heart. Du Kurong tried every means to escape from prison, hoping to have a chance to find the truth about his case and atone for his past domineering behavior. Du Kurong, who escaped from the detention center, saw the harm Wan Sen had done to his mother, and even more suspected that he was being framed. Hiding in a large courtyard, he began to help poor children and helped the underground party print progressive publications. After his whereabouts were discovered, he was imprisoned in a desert island prison. After escaping from prison, Du Kurong fought back and was arrested in the reformatory. There he met Mei Yongyong again. After Mei told him his identity, he let him escape from the reformatory with a note.
