Hot Blood Corps

In 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, some officers and soldiers of the First Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, tasked with liberating the northwest, were ordered to enter Xinjiang to colonize the border area and work hard to start a business. They made indelible contributions to the tranquility of the western border of the motherland, the unity of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, and the construction of socialism in the border areas. The twenty-episode TV series "Hot Blood Corps" vividly reproduces this historical process through the stories of two generations of the Corps, including Yang Zisheng, Liu Yue sisters, Li Songquan, Chen Mingyi, and Ji Jinjun. This play is based on the development of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, with the arduous experience of reclamation and construction, struggle and sacrifice of the Corps members as the main line, and their sincere and bumpy emotional experiences as the auxiliary line, weaving a colorful, rich and beautiful life circle of the Corps members. The play depicts a group of Corps members with distinct personalities, flesh and blood, affection and righteousness, represented by Yang Zisheng, Liu Yue, and Ji Jinjun. Through their family, friendship, love, and their dedication, work, and sacrifice, it eulogizes their revolutionary heroism and revolutionary idealism, promotes the lofty spiritual character of the Corps members’ selflessness, bravery, and fearlessness, and demonstrates the fraternity and brilliance of human nature.
