Advance Company 2012

The play is based on the advanced deeds of the regiments and companies of the independent cavalry division of the Xinjiang Military Region who were awarded the "Heroic Advance Company" as the basic material. It tells the story of an advance team composed of 136 people from the Independent Infantry Division of the Northwest Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in 1950, following the order of Chairman Mao of the Party Central Committee. After six months of arduous march on the snowy plateau, they crossed the Kunlun Mountains from Xinjiang into the Ali region of Tibet and planted the five-star red flag on the Ali plateau in northern Tibet. This also pioneered the domestic use of film and television dramas to reflect this period of history. The play creates the image of a group of heroes represented by Li Disan, Cao Hailin, and Liu Ziqiang, clearly and vividly demonstrating what it means to be a Communist, what loyalty to the Party is, and what kind of sacrifice is the most magnificent. It extols the heroic spirit of revolutionary heroism of the older generation of revolutionary soldiers who are brave and tenacious, not afraid of sacrifice, and dare to challenge all difficulties and obstacles. This soulful work, with its strong artistic appeal and soul impact, artistically demonstrates the broad mind and immortal achievements of the Northwest Field Army who were neither afraid of hardship nor death, and made selfless contributions to the cause of national liberation.
