In 1910, a plague that had never happened in a century broke out in Harbin. The city could no longer return to its original prosperity. Since the onset of the disease, the number of deaths per day has increased from 1 to 180, and the entire city has panicked. Wu Liande was also shocked by the seriousness of the disaster after arriving in Harbin. After three months of investigation and research, Wu Liande confirmed the nature of the disease - pneumonic plague. So he ordered everyone to wear masks and isolate patients. In the end, he risked his life and took decisive measures - burning the corpses, thus completely cutting off the source of infection, and a great plague was completely eliminated.
