The Queen in Progress

The play tells the story of a city in the north in 2016. After Su Diandian graduated from college and depended on her single mother, she was faced with the first choice in her life: should she choose a career she liked, or follow her mother's arrangements? When Su Diandian decided to go to "UNIQUE" magazine, Su Zijuan strongly opposed it at first. Later, when she learned that Su Diandian's biological father, Wan Shiru, was working at "UNIQUE" magazine, she even lied about saying she was terminally ill to try her best to fulfill her daughter's wish. Faced with Su Zijuan's entrustment, the husband of Lin Sen, the editor-in-chief of "UNIQUE" magazine and Su Zijuan's first love, Qi Darui, took a huge moral risk to accept the task, which also caused a grudge that occurred more than 20 years ago. Through her experience in "UNIQUE" magazine, and with the help of Wan Shiru, Su Diandian grew from a rookie in the workplace to a charming woman. The process of her growth is the "Queen's Progress". At the same time, after Su Zijuan passed away from a terminal illness, Su Diandian and Wan Shiru recognized each other as father and daughter.
