The Wind and Sunshine

In the late 1950s, after more than half a century of war, the ancient land of China has entered its tenth year after liberation. In a high school located in Yongcheng County, there lives a beautiful girl named Yang Xiaoyi (played by Ma Yili). She is loved by boys of the same age such as Wu Simin (played by Ji Ta), Liu Shijun (played by Li Chen), and is also criticized and jealous of girls such as Shijun's sister Liu Shichen (played by Wu Chu). He was young and didn't know what it was like to be sad, but Xiaoyi always wanted to find out the true identity of his biological father. By chance, Xiaoyi's mother Yang Hu (played by Tao Huimin), who works in the hospital, seems to have caught a glimpse of her husband from a documentary on the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. She went to Beijing to find her husband but failed, but there were rumors in the town, which affected the work and study of the mother and daughter. Soon after, Liu Yunshi (played by You Yong), the father of the Liu brothers and sisters, went to the town. He took great care of the Yang mother and daughter, and even treated Xiaoyi as his own. Xiaoyi, who longed for her father's love, got her wish, and this sudden love also stirred up waves of the times between her fathers and young men and women... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by the famous writer Ai Wei.
