In 1946, although the domestic situation was still turbulent, Xiamen, adjacent to the South China Sea, was still a vibrant and peaceful scene. Liu Yu, the shopkeeper who runs Fuxiang Silk and Satin Factory, has a prosperous business and a peaceful family.
