Transnational Pursuit

"Transnational Pursuit" is a documentary-style TV series with the theme of anti-corruption and punishment of corruption in the prosecutorial system. "Transnational Pursuit" originated from Li Jingtian's reportage "The Uncorrected Anti-Corruption Director" and was carefully created as a basic prototype. When young prosecutor Li Yaning (first the leader of the major case team and later the deputy director of anti-corruption) was investigating the smuggling and bribery cases of Hong Kong investor Ye Zongxian, he discovered that he spent a huge amount of "business development fees" on behalf of the company, which were actually funds specially used for bribery. During the investigation, he was repeatedly interfered with and obstructed. With the clever support and help of Prosecutor General Gong Yuxin, he gradually figured out that there was a huge network of corrupt relationships hidden behind Ye Zongxian, and found that Lu Jianwei, director of the Municipal Highway Bureau (later the deputy director of the Provincial Highway Bureau), was the source and core figure of corruption. However, Lu Jianwei was a contributor to provincial and municipal economic development and a political star, and he deceived some important provincial and municipal leaders, making the detection work difficult. Li Yaning refused to let go of the bribery case. He was first falsely accused of raping the client and then almost murdered. However, he sized up the situation and took many twists and turns. Finally, from the tangled and confusing clues, he discovered the deeply hidden Chen Jianji - Lu Jianwei's younger brother, the direct perpetrator of all corruption, murder and fraud, which made the investigation possible.
