During the Anti-Japanese War in 1944, Tang Fei, a CCP secret intelligence agent who entered the Linhe Police Department in Manchuria and served as the criminal section chief, carried out the "Mudanula" strategic operation of the Soviet Far East Intelligence Bureau under the leadership of Cheng Guoxun, secretary of the Linhe Provincial Committee of the Chinese Underground Party, and Gerasim, director of the Soviet Far East Intelligence Bureau. Tang Fei infiltrated the Security Bureau and got acquainted with Section Chief Cai Meng, an anti-Japanese democrat who infiltrated out of hatred of his country and family. Then with his bravery and agility, he gained the trust of his boss Narita and became an important member of the Security Bureau. But the inner ghost in the Far East Intelligence Agency caused Tang Fei to fall into the trap designed by Fukuhara and expose himself. General Gerasim of the Soviet Communist Party decided to exchange Tang Fei with an important Japanese spy, but Tang Fei did not want the organization to pay an unnecessary price. In the end, with the assistance of secret agents of the CCP and the Soviet Union, Tang Fei successfully completed the mission with his superhuman wisdom and courage. The play tells the story of our party's love workers who were resourceful and brave and made outstanding contributions to the victory of the anti-fascist battle with their special loyalty and fearless courage.
