Ning Be a Woman

The story took place in the 1930s. The owner of Huatai Silk Store, Xu Chenfeng (played by Huang Wenhao), is an upright businessman. However, because his parents died young and he inherited a huge family business, he was too young and energetic and left no room for error. Once he found an error in the accounting books, he fired shopkeeper Li who had been here for decades. Chenfeng's wife Zhou Huijun (played by Ma Yashu) is seriously ill.
