The Emergence of Officialdom

This is a satirical black comedy adapted from the famous late Qing Dynasty novel "The Emergence of Officialdom". The screenwriter uses the absurd behaviors of the characters in the play to expose the greedy, ugly, and dark nature of human nature. It expresses the corruption and ugliness in the officialdom of feudal society through the evolution of the relationship between master and servant. There were as many as 100 actors with surnames in the entire filming of the TV series, and national treasure-level actors from the north and south appeared on stage one after another. It can be described as: a historical masterpiece, a gathering of stars. Scholars have no integrity, people have no integrity, they are driven by interests, and justice is hard to find. Not only do they show off their talents, they donate and sell their officials to enrich their own pockets, but they also collude with officials and businessmen to do anything. Using the past to satirize the present, the three elements of the "thick and dark" secret of officialdom - tangible and color, tangible and colorless, and intangible and colorless, are vividly presented in the play. It is a satirical black comedy.
