Mysterious Hostage

The story takes place during the Liberation War. Our party's agent Yan Wenchuan (played by Liu Xiaofeng) rushed to his hometown Jiangcheng with a secret mission train. Unexpectedly, just after arriving home, a sudden disaster plunged him into the vortex of the struggle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. Since Yan Wenchuan is directly under the upper-level leadership of the CCP, the underground party organization in Jiangcheng does not know his identity, so he is temporarily detained and handed over to Dou Wanru (played by Huang Man), a female cadre who has returned from studying in the Soviet Union. Dou pretends to be a nanny and enters Yan's house, closely watching Yan Wenchuan's actions, but how could Yan Wenchuan, a veteran agent, not see the clues? Chen Jingru (played by Ning Xiaozhi), the leader of Jiangcheng's military command, appreciated Yan Wenchuan's talents, and recruited Yan into his army on the recommendation of Lou Haiping (played by Ren Kenuo).
