The play tells the story of Ye's mother who wants to marry the eldest daughter-in-law's father, Uncle Gu, but is opposed by her second son Ye Zibin and her second daughter-in-law Fang Xiaoping. What the two are most worried about is that after their mother gets married, their house will fall into the hands of the Gu family. Late at night, the two drove home and accidentally knocked down the eldest brother who was riding a bicycle and fled the scene.
