In 1939, the Japanese army launched a frantic campaign against the anti-Japanese forces in Northeast China in an attempt to control the entire Northeast region and penetrate into the Central Plains. In the Longtan area, which is located in the transportation hub of Northeast China, the underground party represented by railway worker Li Yuhe carried out a series of flexible, resourceful and arduous struggles to contain the Japanese army and cooperate with the Anti-Japanese War under the tragic white terror. Li Yuhe, Grandma Li, and Li Tiemei, three generations with different surnames, were inspired by the common revolutionary belief to interpret the strong feelings born from living under the same roof.
