All Quiet in Peking 2014

In 1948, the battle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party had reached its most critical moment. The political and economic system in the Kuomintang-controlled areas is in chaos and out of control, prices are soaring, and corrupt officials are rampant. The rule of the Nationalist Government has long been in danger and the building is about to collapse. At the same time, on the other side, Meng Ao (played by Liu Ye), a colonel and instructor at the Jianqiao Aviation School of the Kuomintang Air Force, was on trial for disobeying military orders. Fang was born into a wealthy family. He is the son of Fang Buting (played by Wang Qingxiang), the manager of the Peking Branch of the Central Bank, and his other identity is an underground member of our party lurking in the national army. After Chiang Ching-kuo's intervention, Fang was exonerated and transferred to the Reserve Cadre Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense, and then participated in the "Peacock Flying Southeast" operation to investigate the fraud in the Peking Branch. Living in the turbulence of the times, there are suspicions and investigations from within the national army, conspiracies and strife from colleagues, and dangers that arise one after another during the war.
