This drama shows the rich history of modern Huizhou merchants and Huizhou culture with a life legend of ups and downs in Huizhou kitchen. Hu Wenqing was originally the son of an official family in the late Qing Dynasty. Due to a sudden family change, he was forced to work as a waiter in a restaurant and began his legendary life. He personally experienced major social changes such as the Revolution of 1911, the Northern Expedition, the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Anti-Japanese War and the War of Liberation. He experienced various hardships and rejection by his peers when he was studying art, the twists and turns and internal strife when starting a business, the persecution of the Japanese and traitors when his career was developing, as well as conflicts and emotional crises within the family. After all the twists and turns and hardships in life, the "Hui Camel" spirit of "bearing humiliation and perseverance" finally created the glory of Anhui cuisine and became a leader in the Anhui cuisine industry. During the celebration of the founding of New China, Hu Wenqing, as a representative of Anhui cuisine, was invited to perform in Beijing together with representatives of several other major cuisines across the country.
