During the War of Liberation, in order to save the trend of great defeat, the Kuomintang government carried out the so-called anti-smuggling and anti-corruption "digging holes" operation. Tang Jingyun, captain of the detective team of the Anti-Smuggling Administration who participated in the operation, went deep behind enemy lines and accidentally discovered that the core member of the smuggling organization turned out to be his wife Yuan Shuying. Together with his wife Yuan Shuying, he faced various difficulties and obstacles, fought hand in hand against the enemy, and experienced life and death hardships. In the difficult struggle between us and the enemy, the couple received help and support from the underground party, gradually realized the difference between the Communist Party and the Kuomintang, and finally joined the revolutionary ranks and contributed to the cause of liberation.
