Heroes of the Spring River: Scholars Encounter Soldiers

The story takes place in the early 1930s. The Japanese imperialists with ulterior motives established the Manchu puppet government in Manchuria. As a transportation hub in the Northeast, Lushun became an important springboard for them to invade the Central Plains. However, the people in the Puppet Manchukuo area were not willing to be slaves to the subjugation of their country. They rose up to resist and launched series of battles with the invaders. In Majiatun outside Lushun City, the unknown tenant farmer Ma Sanpao (played by Sha Yi) was pushed to the forefront of history, and then connected with people of different identities and backgrounds such as Long Qianyan (played by Li Chen), the eldest son of the Long family, Wan Shanhong (played by Ma Su), the head of the Qinglong Club Gao Yanan (played by Li Qian), and became a powerful and refreshing force in the anti-Japanese team.
