Shao Xue (played by Chen Yuqi), Zheng Sunian (played by Lin Yi), Zhang Qi (played by Yan Zidong) and other children of several cultural relic restoration craftsmen grew up together in the hutongs of Beijing. They experienced various ups and downs such as the SARS epidemic, the death of elders, and the demolition of ancient cities, and formed a deep friendship. As they grow up, everyone chooses completely different paths due to differences in personality.
