Father and Daughter

On a warm autumn evening, the father took his daughter to ride a bicycle together. They passed through the forest path, rode over the grass, rode up the high slope, and came to the calm lakeside. The father hugged his daughter and boarded the boat. My daughter waited quietly by the lake, until the boat became blurry in her sight, and until the sun was about to set. The father never returned, and the daughter went back alone on a small bicycle. From then on, my daughter came to the lake to wait every day. She rode her bicycle back and forth, rain or shine. Years passed, and the little girl became a wife, a mother, and grew old in the blink of an eye. Now that she is old, she comes to the lake every day until the lake dries up and turns into a tidal flat. She came to the boat sleeping at the bottom of the lake and lay in the boat, just like lying in her father's warm arms.
