The Jungle Book

The story of the film is adapted from an ancient Pakistani myth. The protagonist Araya is a brave, confident and righteous little boy. After saving a markhor goat, he has the ability to talk to animals. On the way to escort the markhor goat home, he battles wits and courage with poachers and wolves. The snow leopard, an animal unique to the Himalayan region of China, is one of the main characters and helps the protagonist defeat the poachers. Chinese allusions such as "people who respect others will always respect them" and "share weal and woe" are used throughout.
