The detectives each have their own specialties and work together to deal with national crisis threats. Tetsuji Tanaka plays the squad leader Mitsunari Yoshinaga, who is considered to be always calm and commanding among his colleagues. He is a criminal and interrogation master of the former Metropolitan Police Department's Investigation Section. Toru Nomaguchi plays the sarcastic Yusuke Kashii, a member of the special search squad of the former mobile team's explosive ordnance disposal squad. He has an excellent sense of smell and is a holder of a special ability called "symesthesia" that can see smells and distinguish colors. Yuko Araki plays the role of Rei Oyama, a network intelligence analysis expert who is a former hacker and is the most famous person in the class. She pretends to be cool but has a shadow in her heart.
