The adaptation of "Ango's Catcher" is set in the civilized and enlightened Tokyo of the early Meiji period, bringing out the unique reasoning model of that era. The story tells that at the end of the 19th century, when Japan was undergoing the Meiji Restoration, people were uneasy and the current situation was turbulent. Gentleman detective Yuki Shinjuro (Fukushi Sota) emerged in Kagurazaka, Tokyo. He had been overseas and gained the trust of the Metropolitan Police and became a special detective. Toranosuke Izumiyama, the former swordsman disciple of the reform hero Katsu Kaishu, has always liked to reason in difficult cases, but he is always played by Yuki. The Meiji version of Sherlock Holmes launched a series of twists and turns and wonderful mystery adventures.
