1983 Cricket World Cup

The film restores the true story of the Indian team's victory in the third Cricket World Cup in 1983 with a thrilling rhythm. The cross-editing of different characters and narrative clues, as well as the exciting and high-spirited soundtrack, continuously stack up the emotion of longing for victory, making people feel like they are in a cricket match. The creative team invited the sons of many Indian and British players to play the roles of their fathers in the film, creating an interesting intertextual effect between real history and the film. The film was nominated for 11 awards at the 2022 International Indian Film Academy Awards, and finally won 3 awards including the Best Sound Award.
