Dear Companion

The story takes place in the perennially cold Rocky Mountains, Bessie (Diane Keaton) and her husband Joseph (Kevin Kline) ) can't remember how long they have been married, at least long enough that their children have formed their own families. Joseph has always been a self-centered man, immersed in his own world every day, which makes Bessie feel lonely. One day, Bessie accidentally picked up a stray dog. The kind-hearted Bessie took it in and named it "Freeway". The clingy puppy made Bessie's pale life regain its luster, and friendship developed between one person and one dog. Unexpectedly, Joseph lost his puppy in an accident. He had never seen his wife so angry. Bessie and her friends decided to organize a search and rescue team to find the whereabouts of the puppy.
