Start over

This film, produced by China Film Investment Corporation and directed by Gu Rong, is set against the backdrop of the Olympic construction boom. It tells the story of Deng Jiangtao (played by Su Ke), a returning architectural designer who fell from the peak of his career to the bottom due to an accidental accident, and then started over again with the help of a female driver Huang Ruolan (played by Yao Di) whom he met unexpectedly. In the Red Mansion audition, Yao Di showed the elegance of a lady, but in "Start Over" she played a taxi driver with a grassroots background. Yao Di admitted that the role change was very big: "It is difficult to switch from Baochai to a taxi driver all at once. It's relatively big, and I need to throw away all the "style" of Baochai." Yao Di said that he especially likes this kind of role that is very different from himself. "The greater the contrast, the better he can hone his acting skills." The film "Start Over" will be released in November.
