Once upon a time there was a fool

John Schuler (played by Edward José) is a young and capable and successful lawyer on Wall Street. One day he will go to England as a special agent for a period of time, so he has to leave his beloved wife (played by Mabel Frenyear) and daughter (played by Runa Hodges). The long journey was boring, and John met a beautiful and coquettish woman (Theda Bara) on the ship. He quickly fell in love with her, leaving his wife and daughter behind... The film was adapted by Frank Powell based on Kipling's long poem "The Temptress". The film was shot at Theda Bara's name Odosia Goodman. Her seductive performance quickly made her a sexy star. To accentuate her mystique, the studio reversed the spelling of "ARAB DEATH" to create her new name, Theda Bara.
