Scarred

Jackie Justice (Halle Berry) was an MMA fighter who disgracefully retired from the sport. In the years after that fight, she had been unlucky, spending her days in resentment and regret. Finally, she was persuaded by her manager and boyfriend Desi (Adan Cantor) to participate in a brutal underground fight, and attracted the attention of a fight league organizer (Shamir Anderson), who promised to get Jackie back in the Octagon. But when Manny (played by Danny Boyd Jr.) appears on her doorstep, she is destined to embark on a road of redemption: Manny is her son, and she gave up not long after he was born. "The Ring," the directorial debut of Academy Award winner Halle Berry and starring Andrene Lenos, Sheila Atim, Valentina Shevchenko and Stephen McKinley Henderson, follows the inspirational journey of a fighter who rediscovers her power in and out of the ring when everyone thought Jackie was eliminated.
