In the 1930s, World War II was in full swing. And Sally (Karl Markovics) is so proud of himself with his superb forgery skills. He has delicious food and beautiful women at his fingertips, which makes him uncomfortable. But his good days did not last long, and he was soon arrested for his crimes and then thrown into the Mauthausen concentration camp. At that time, the German Nazis planned to produce large amounts of counterfeit currency to disrupt the Allied economies. Sally's talent was discovered and he became the leader of this secret counterfeit banknote manufacturing group, but his conscience prompted him to choose another path... The film is based on Adolf Burger's original book "The Devils Workshop", which is based on the author's personal experience. The film won the 2008 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and the 2007 German Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor (Devid Striesow).
