The Phantom of the Opera

In the 1880s, U.S. imperialism expanded in all directions and carried out crazy looting of colonies. For a time, the colonial people established resistance armies one after another to fight against U.S. imperialism. Mexico was also a colony of the US empire at the time. Sara (Salma Hayek) was the daughter of a local banker, although she had been carefully raised to be a standard "European lady" since she was a child. But Sara was brave and courageous. After the US emperor took away her family's property, Sara embarked on a journey of armed robbery of the American bank. Maria (Penélope Cruz) is the daughter of a local farmer. Her father was beaten and seriously injured by American soldiers, which ignited her hatred of American imperialism. Maria also started robbing American banks. The two girls met by chance during a bank robbery. From then on, they ended their individual fights and joined forces to deal with American imperialism.
