Zombies and the Devil's Train

The slender young man Andy nicknamed "Zombie" (Silu Seppälä ) returned to his hometown of Helsinki after half a year's absence, but he was taken away by the police in front of his welcoming friends as soon as he got off the boat... Zombie once joined the army, but was quickly expelled, and thus got on board the Devil Train, a band's means of transportation, and met the girl Mario. Zombie's heart is always occupied by loneliness that cannot be relieved. He is unable to hold on to any job and has no intention of working. News of wars are broadcast on TV from time to time. The faces of the dead make Zombie frightened and inexplicable. His relationship with Mario is also on and off. Because his friend's band was short of people, Zombie took over the bassist's job, but he messed up things again. His friend's anger made Zombie leave Finland and disappear into the exotic country of Istanbul... The film won the 1992 Finnish Film Jusi Award for Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Actor. The 1991 San Sebastian International Film Festival won the Silver Shell Award for Best Actor, and the 1992 Rouen Nordic Film Festival Director Award.
