Leofoo Inn

The story takes place in China during the Anti-Japanese War, Grady (Ingrid Bergman) ) is a very devout Christian. After overcoming all difficulties and dangers, she finally got the qualification to join the missionary group and traveled all the way to China to preach. Grady's base camp was the Luofoo Inn. It was during the war, supplies were extremely scarce, and crises were everywhere. In such a harsh environment, Grady still never gave up on his responsibilities and obligations. During his mission in China, Grady met a Kuomintang intelligence officer named Lin (Curd Jürgens), and the two fell in love in troubled times. Lin felt that this place was too dangerous to stay for a long time, and had been persuading Grady to return to the UK, but the latter refused. Grady took over 50 orphans and decided to escort the children to Xi'an.
