Goodbye Daughter

Asheng (played by Li Tianzhu) is a Taiwanese businessman who has lived in Beijing for a long time. He has two wives, a long-divorced Taiwanese ex (played by Xie Qiongnuan), and a Beijing current girlfriend (played by Wang Xuan) who is in a good relationship, separated by cross-straits and do not communicate with each other. Asheng also has two daughters, one named Jiaxin (played by Lin Zijun) and the other named Lianlian (played by Chen Yiqin). The younger sister came to Taiwan from Beijing to study at university because she admired her elder sister. They live under the same roof. My sister Liu Lian died accidentally during a diving activity of the swimming team. The police determined that she died of suffocation due to an overdose of sleeping pills. They believed that my sister Jiaxin who lived with her was an experienced diver and went into the water with her, so she was suspected of intentional homicide. Dad Asheng returned to Taiwan to take care of the funeral arrangements for his younger daughter, and reunited with his eldest daughter Jiaxin, who had been estranged from Taiwan for a long time.
