Winter's Tale

One of Rohmer's famous series "Story of the Four Seasons". After Felicie (Charlotte Véry) and Charlie (Frédéric van den Driessche) fell in love romantically at the beach, they accidentally left the wrong address, causing the two to never find each other again. Felicie gave birth to Charlie's child, but there was no news from Charlie in five years. Life goes on, and Felicie meets some men who like her, and they are good men who love her enough. For example, the mature and considerate Marsan (played by Michael Voletti) and the talented Louis (played by Hervé Furic). However, in Felicie's heart, Charlie is still a lingering loved one. It's not that she doesn't love them, it's just that she can't love them enough to live with them. She and Louis watched Shakespeare's opera "The Winter's Tale" together, and quietly wept for the characters in it. Maybe she, like the characters in the play, was also holding on to a belief. Finally one winter, Felicie and Charlie met again on the bus, and their persistent dreams came true.
