Bill (Robert Ryan) is a professional boxer. He has a very good relationship with his girlfriend Julie (Audrey Totter), who is his spiritual support in the game. Bill, who often lives in embarrassment, is very competitive, because losing the game means he will gain nothing, so he must win. In a game, Bill's opponent is a strong man named Nelson (Hal Baylor). Before the game, the coach told Bill that this was a game rigged by the underworld, and in the ring, Bill must admit defeat. However, in the fierce competition, Bill, who was at a disadvantage, was unwilling to succumb to the gang's power, and finally reached Nelson with his amazing strength. Although Bill won the game, he angered the gangsters who had been manipulating the game behind the scenes.
