Promising Girl

Cassandra (Carey Mulligan) was once a promising top student in medical school, but she chose to drop out because of the suicide of her friend. During the day, Cassandra worked odd jobs in coffee shops, and whenever night fell, she would put on a sexy outfit and haunt the sleazy nightclubs in the city. She would pretend to be drunk, waiting for a "kind" man to take her back to his home, so as to carry out her harmless revenge on the man. One day, Cassandra reunited with her former classmate Lane (played by Bo Burnham) in a coffee shop, and Lane began to pursue the former passionately. The appearance of Wren once again brought back Cassandra's memories of the tragic experiences in her school days. When she learned that the culprits who once caused the death of her friends were now living their own wonderful lives, the flames of revenge intensified in her heart.
