Persuasion

Dakota Johnson will star in the new film "Persuasion," adapted from Jane Austen's novel of the same name. Tony Award-nominated theater director Kelly Cracknell makes her feature film debut. This film is a modern adaptation, telling the story of Anne Elliot, a woman with trendy emotions and non-conformity, living with her snobbish and bankrupt family. When the dashing, dashing Frederick Wentworth, whom Anne once sent away, reappears, she must make a choice: put the past behind her, or get a second chance to follow her heart. Ronald Bass ("Rain Man", "My Best Friend's Wedding") and Alice Victoria Winslow wrote the script, Netflix and MRC Film co-produced, and filming will begin in May.
