The film is adapted from the biography book of Michael Ausiello, chairman and editorial director of the American drama news website TVLine.com, and is described as "a story about love and loss, a heartbreaking tragicomedy": Ausiello's boyfriend Kit Cowan was diagnosed with terminal cancer and eventually died. The description of the two people's lives in the last 11 months is intertwined with fragments of their previous encounters and acquaintances, and they walked through every bit of 14 years together. After overcoming many obstacles to find true love, they have to face the biggest challenge in life together.
