Forget Me Not 1982

Snowy fields in the North, the 1970s during the Cultural Revolution. Wenwen (played by Fang Shu), an educated youth who went to the countryside, suddenly heard the telegram that her father had died of illness. She immediately returned to the city, but it was too late. All she saw was the black smoke coming from the huge chimney of the crematorium. Her father, who was labeled as a reactionary academic authority, passed away like this, and Wenwen was heartbroken. On the way back, she was bullied by gangsters again. She was about to commit suicide and was rescued by Zhou Hong (played by Li Zhiyu), a middle-aged doctor in the village. After a period of recuperation, her physical and mental improvement improved. She picked a bouquet of small blue flowers from the mountain, and Zhou told her that the flower was called "forget-me-not". Zhou Hong was knowledgeable, so she studied medicine with Zhou as her teacher and devoted herself to her studies. Soon, Zhou Hong wrote a medical monograph that he devoted half his life to, but was framed as a black book by the rebels and sent to a labor camp. After smashing the "Gang of Four", Zhou Hong, who was released from prison, helped Wenwen get into college. Before leaving, Wenwen presented Zhou Hong with a bouquet of forget-me-nots symbolizing love...
