Ten Plus Ten

"10" initiated by the Golden Horse Film Festival 10" Film Co-Creation Project calls for the unity of Taiwanese filmmakers and brings together a total of 20 Taiwanese film directors. Each of them will shoot a five-minute short film. The central theme is "Unique to Taiwan", but there are no restrictions on form or script content. Each director is fully authorized to freely express his imagination, imagination and creation. "10 10" means that these twenty directors will shoot a film that is 100 minutes long. The festival also hopes that this collective influence will inspire huge energy that far exceeds the film itself! These twenty "unique to Taiwan" short films range from heartwarming, pure love, thriller, documentary, absurd, black comedy, social realism to magical imagination, past re-enactment and contemporary present. Topics include the urban-rural gap, changing times, self-mockery, school violence, family emotions, youthful feelings, media power, historical review, etc. They comprehensively examine the changes in Taiwanese society over the past hundred years, and also extract unforgettable memories and emotions from the torrent of history. The Golden Horse Film Festival hopes that "10 10" will be more than just a movie. On this 100th anniversary, the creative energy of these outstanding directors will be gathered to speak to the world through the film festival, so that Taiwan's cultural and creative soft power will be more visible to the world.
