The silent and lonely middle-aged man Saijan Fernandez (played by Irfan Khan) has been passed away for many years and his work is approaching retirement. Sai Yang, who is alone, comes home after get off work and dinner. When he is lonely, he smokes on the balcony without making a sound; Ila (played by Nimrat Kaur) is a simple housewife. She devoted all her emotions to her family and regarded it as her responsibility to take care of her daughter and serve her husband. She just hoped that her husband would look at her more and pay more attention to her. Two men and women who had no chance of intersecting in Mumbai actually intersected because of a mistake in taking lunch, which aroused resonance.
