Nanniwan

In 1941, the Japanese invaders launched a crazy "mopping up" and "clearing out the countryside" to the anti-Japanese base areas. At the same time, Chiang Kai-shek created the Southern Anhui Incident that shocked China and foreign countries, setting off the second "anti-communist" climax. The Chinese people's War of Resistance Against Japan has entered the most difficult period. In order to break the great difficulties caused by the Japanese invasion and the Kuomintang's economic blockade, the government of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region under the leadership of the Communist Party of China called on the military and civilians in the border region to "fight and produce at the same time" and launched a vigorous large-scale production movement. In "Nanniwan", a group of Chinese people from all over the world created a miracle that amazed the world and composed a magnificent revolutionary epic. This film tells the story of the spring of 1941. Under the leadership of Wang Zhen, the 359th brigade commander and political commissar of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army, company leader Zhou (played by Ren Shuai) was ordered to drive into Nanniwan, overcame all obstacles, and overcame many difficulties to build the deserted Nanniwan into a beautiful southern part of Shaanxi with "rice fields fragrant and fat ducks filling the ponds. Crops are everywhere, and cattle and sheep are everywhere." The film uses the diary and mental journey of a female Eighth Route Army soldier "Miao Zi" (played by Peng Dan) as clues to describe the battlefield where revolutionary heroism and romanticism were mixed during those passionate years and the vigorous mass production movement.
