Conformists

Marcelo (Jean-Louis Trintignant) Trintignant) is a member of the Italian fascist organization. His new mission is to go to Paris to eliminate his former university professor Luc Quadri (Enzo Tarascio), a member of the anti-fascist organization. So Marcelo used the excuse of honeymoon in Paris with his fiancée Julia (Stefania Sandrelli) to visit the professor's house. Also on the mission with Marcelo is Manganiello (Gastone Moschin) disguised as his driver. At the professor's house, Marcelo is deeply attracted to the professor's young wife Anna (Dominique Sanda). Marcelo's companion Manganiello kept urging him to get rid of the professor, but he was reluctant to do so. Manganiello learned that the professor and his wife were going to the wild, so he prepared to carry out an assassination mission alone... This film is adapted from the work of the same name by the Italian novelist Alberto Moravia.
