Liu Laixi (Mok Shaocong), the last living eunuch in China who is in his dying years (played by Wen Bixia) recalled his life experiences... Laixi entered the palace at the age of eleven. In the era of turbulent revolution, after he came out of the palace, he formed a family with Zhaodi (played by Wen Bixia), mother and son, and lived as a hawker. Revolutionaries Qiu Feng (played by Wu Jiali) and Hu Zhenzhong (played by Huang Rihua) assassinated important people, but were accidentally saved by Laixi. Xiaode Zhang (played by Luo Wen), the chief eunuch, admired Laixi's Peking Opera singing skills and threatened him to enter the palace again.
