Hyde Park on the Shore of the Hudson

The story takes place in the United States in 1939. Roosevelt (Bill Murray) invites King George VI (Samuel West) and Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) of England ) came to visit his mansion in Hyde Park on the shores of the Hudson, New York. This was the first time a British king visited the United States during his reign. At this time, Britain was under threat from Germany. Therefore, this visit was crucial for the king and queen, who wanted to win American military support for Britain. Roosevelt's distant cousin Daisy (played by Laura Linney) also came to her cousin to help him take care of the banquet. This allowed Daisy to witness this unprecedented great diplomatic event from beginning to end. Roosevelt and Daisy collided with each other because of this cooperation.
